DID YOU KNOW that there are over 25 different types of breast cancer?
DID YOU KNOW that all breast cancers when detected early, ie. under 9 mm (just over 1/3 of an inch) in size, are completely curable?
DID YOU KNOW that the vast majority of breast cancer charities and fund raisers support the wealthy pharmaceutical industry in the development of drugs for chemotherapy, rather than funding early detection programs?

WSW (Women Supporting Women) recognizes the need to provide support where it is most needed and has the biggest impact and that is through EARLY DETECTION. Early detection has been proven to save lives. When breast cancer is still small, there is only minimal treatment necessary, and it is safer and more localized.

WSW’S VISION FOR IMPROVING BREAST CANCER DETECTION:
When you purchase a WSW bra, you are contributing funds to breast cancer education and research. A portion of this charitable money will also be devoted to providing screening for women who can not afford this crucial, life saving test.

Our idea of education consists of teaching people about the importance of regular mammograms.

WSW places emphasis on teaching varied health professionals who diagnose and treat breast disease, both locally and internationally, about the importance and techniques of early detection and the avoidance of overtreatment.

WSW is available to provide education to insurance companies and legislators regarding the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer.

WSW’S VISION FOR RESEARCH:
Our goal is to direct research funds towards improving existing means of screening, and to develop and test additional early detection and diagnostic devices.
